چکیده
(...) we wanted to identify key environmental determinants for the house dust microbiome from an existing collection of spatially (area of Munich, Germany) and temporally (301 days) distributed samples and to determine changes in the community as a function of time. To that end, dust samples that had been collected once from the living room floors of 286 individual households, were profiled for fungal and bacterial community variation and diversity using microbial fingerprinting techniques. (...) We inferred that fungal communities in indoor dust changed semiannually, whereas bacterial communities paralleled outdoor plant phenological periods. These differences in temporal dynamics cannot be fully explained and should be further investigated in future studies on indoor microbiomes.

متن کاملمعماری طبایع: تبیین رویکردی دربارۀ نسبت انسان و محیط مصنوع بر مبنای چهارگانهها
This paper provides a new system of understanding the relationship of man and the built environment. This new system is adopted from Iranian traditional medicine, which is based on philosophy of physics and traditional wisdom. In wisdom and medicine alike, anything manifested in the material world—such as humans, artifacts, and everything in their surrounding environment—has qualiti...
متن کاملThe impact of local built environment attributes on the elderly sociability
Due to the change of lifestyle and improvement of public health the number of aged people has considerably increased. Considering the relationship of the environment and people, the built environment features could exacerbate or facilitate the elderly people’s vulnerability and social needs. Recently, a large number of studies have put emphasis on the relationship between the neighborhood...
متن کاملDensity in Relation to Patterns of Built-forms (Case Study: Addis Ababa, Ethiopia)
Density is a critical typology in determining sustainable urban built-form patterns. Built-formrefers to the assemblage and arrangement of the building masses in a city reflecting the spatial layout of spaces. The relationship between density and urban character is also based on at certain densities (thresholds). In a widersense, sustainable cities are a matter of density. Recent debates about t...

Public transit systems are ideal for studying the urban microbiome and interindividual community transfer. In this study, we used 16S amplicon and shotgun metagenomic sequencing to profile microbial communities on multiple transit surfaces across train lines and stations in the Boston metropolitan transit system. The greatest determinant of microbial community structure was the transit surface ...
